It began with learning to listen to my patients as a Speech Language Pathologist. After 20 years working in healthcare, I couldn’t help but believe there had to be other ways to help facilitate my clients' healing. Enter Craniosacral therapy. I soon began my coursework and training through the Upledger Institute and thus began my education in learning to listen with my hands as well as my ears.
I completed both my Bachelors and Masters of Science Degrees in Communication Disorders at Appalachian State University. I have been an ASHA-certified Speech Language Pathologist since 2000 and I am currently licensed by the state of North Carolina.
I grew up in Massachusetts and moved with my family to North Carolina where I began college. I have lived and worked in both California and North Carolina, but am happy to settle into our Asheville home. I am married to a fellow East Coaster who also shares a love for the West Coast and we are the proud parents of our two daughters.
When I am not at work, I enjoy being outdoors, practicing yoga and going for hikes, attending my girl’s extracurricular activities, listening to live music, and being with my family and friends.
